Kotato and Fukushima Sub-contrabass flute
Subcontrabass Flute in F
Newly designed Kotato and Fukushima Sub-contrabass flute in F (2010)is a fine instrument full of colour, warmth and accuracy. After a personal trial of this most amazing flute at the 2010 NFA Convention (Anaheim, CA), I can highly recommend this instrument for quality, quick response and fine tonal sound. With a sound similar to a tuba, this silver flute can 'pump out' a line that can cut through a rock band! With a rounded tonal centre and strong root fundamentals, the instruments upper register is quite clear as well and can easily sing in the second octave. Once any flutist finds the correct placement on the tone hole (lower lip dropped in- relaxed upper lip, with a deep firm support) the instrument practically plays itself.
The resonant, quick and accurate response of this flute is by far the most impressive quality of all. A truly respectable addition to the low flutes available on the market. Official website: www.kotatoflute
